First Eucharist

The Eucharist is one of the three Sacraments of Christian Initiation. ‘It is the ‘source and summit’ (CCC#1324) of Christian life where we become one in Christ and also share in the promises he made to us on the Cross. Jesus is really and truly present in the Eucharist. It means that when we receive the Eucharist we are really receiving Jesus and all the graces he won for us in his passion, death, and resurrection.  All these graces help us in our everyday lives by increasing our love for God and for each other.

Our First Eucharist program here at St. John 23rd endeavours to teach children the significance of Holy Communion by learning more about Jesus and the Holy Mass.

This is an annual program is annual for children who are baptized in the catholic faith.

To join our program, your child must be in Year 4, at least 8 years of age and have already received the Sacrament of First Reconciliation
