SUMMARY:Divine Mercy Sunday Pilgrimage Walk
DESCRIPTION:Pope Francis has announced an opportunity for Catholics to obtain a plenary indulgence during the Year of Mercy by passing through a designated Holy Door during the Year of Mercy\, or performing one of the corporal or spiritual works of mercy; and fulfilling the usual conditions of having the interior disposition of complete detachment from sin\, receiving sacramental Confession and the Holy Eucharist\, and praying for the intentions of the Holy Father. \nThe Jubilee Year of Mercy commenced when Pope Francis opened the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica on December 8\, 2015 and on December 13\, 2015 all the Holy Doors in Cathedrals and designated churches throughout the world opened to pilgrims. \nAs this day is Divine Mercy Sunday\, St John 23rd Faith Formation Committee is organizing a walk to the Holy Doors of the Franciscan Shrine of the Holy Innocents. We will start the slow 3 km walk from St John 23rd Parish Church after the 9am mass. \nFor more information and interest to join please contact Rose Franco. \n
